Shoes off, please.

Quiet: Please be respectful of our quiet and private neighbors and neighborhood. No loud music, anytime.

Outdoor sofas and table: Please put covers back on outdoor furniture at night - otherwise the cushions get wet, moldy and stained.

Music: Turntable, records, and JBL Bluetooth speaker provided for your listening pleasure.

Parking: There is parking at the house for 3 cars overnight.

Water usage: Bolinas has a very limited water supply, especially with the drought, so please help us to keep water usage as low as possible while still enjoying yourselves. Please don’t leave faucets running or take extra long showers.

Septic: We’re on a delicate septic system so only minimal kitchen waste should go into the garbage disposal - especially avoid coffee grounds and egg shells. Only TP should be flushed in the toilet, please.

Stains/Spills: Quickly and gently blot spill asap with paper towels to soak up the liquid, then please text or call us and we can advise. Renters will be held responsible for any damage to the house other than regular wear and tear.

Towels: Turkish towels are provided for hot tub and beach use. Please reserve Coyuchi bath towels for indoor bathroom use only.

Towel warmer: Please turn off or unplug towel warmer when not in use.

Garbage/Compost/Recycling: Pick-up is Thursday morning. Keep the bungee cords on top of the garbage bins so critters don’t get in. Garbage = black bin. Recycling = blue bin. Compost (all food scraps) = green bin.

Heaters: Rennai wall heater in the living room is very easy to use. The heat rises to warm the bedrooms. If you need additional heat in the bedrooms at night, there are two small space heaters in the “Writer’s Nook”.

Swedish gas fireplace: Easy to turn off and on with remote swtich. Do not touch glass. Do not allow children to touch stove. Please do not leave ignited fireplace unattended - turn off at night and when you leave the house.

Fans/AC: The house doesn’t have air conditioning - rarely will you find a house on the Northern California coast with AC since we usually have cool evenings year-round. On balmy days, you can find a fan for each bedroom, stored in the “Writer’s Nook.”

Chemex coffee maker: If you haven’t used one before. Check out this usage guide.

Washer/Dryer: are in the funky little outbuilding along the right side of the driveway. Also feel free to store any recreational equipment like bikes in this little room.

Cedar hot tub: Please keep cover secured with all four straps when not in use. If you use the hot tub regularly, it greatly appreciates a teaspoon of chlorine added daily to keep the water fresh and clean. Because it's a new yellow cedar tub, the water has a slightly yellow tint - that's completely normal. If the water doesn't seem quite hot enough, press the "jets" button 20 minutes before you want to tub - this will cause the heater to cycle and bring the temp up to 103. (Keep the cover on while bringing up the tub temperature.)

Cancellation policy: Full refund (minus administrative fee) for cancellations with 30 days notice. 50% refund: 14-29 days notice. No refund with less than 14 days notice.
